Editorial Policy
How we research, write, verify, and maintain every article on TheQrify.
Last reviewed: June 2026 · Maintained by the TheQrify editorial team
Our Editorial Mission
Every article, guide, and tutorial on TheQrify exists to answer a real question that a real person has about QR codes. Our editorial mission is simple: publish content that is technically accurate, practically useful, and completely honest — whether that means recommending a competitor's approach or explaining a limitation of our own tools.
We do not publish content purely for search engine rankings. We do not write articles that promote features we don't offer. We do not use AI to mass-generate content without human review. Every published article on this site has been drafted, reviewed, and approved by a named member of our editorial team.
Who Creates Our Content
Ryan Carter
QR Technology Lead & Digital Marketing Strategist
Writes and reviews all QR code marketing strategy, campaign guides, and brand-focused content. Ensures factual alignment with industry scan-rate data and marketing best practices.
Sarah Mitchell
Content Strategist & Brand Consultant
Manages editorial calendar, reviews all published articles for tone, clarity, and accuracy. Ensures every guide meets TheQrify's plain-English readability standard before publication.
James Whitfield
Founder & Software Engineer
Reviews all technical QR code content for engineering accuracy — including error correction specifications, encoding standards, and scanner compatibility claims — against the ISO/IEC 18004 standard.
All authors on TheQrify are identified by name on their published articles. Generic "team" attribution is only used for internal announcements and site updates, never for educational QR code content.
Our Review & Fact-Checking Process
Research & Drafting
The assigned author researches the topic using primary sources (ISO standards, official platform documentation, peer-reviewed data) before drafting. No article is written from memory alone.
Technical Accuracy Review
James Whitfield reviews all technical claims against the ISO/IEC 18004 QR code standard and confirmed platform behaviour. Any claim that cannot be sourced is removed or flagged.
Editorial & Clarity Review
Sarah Mitchell reviews the draft for plain-English clarity, factual consistency, and tone. She ensures the article answers the stated question without unnecessary promotional language.
Final Approval & Publication
Ryan Carter provides final sign-off, checking that the article aligns with TheQrify's content standards and adds genuine value beyond what already exists online. Only then is it published.
Ongoing Monitoring & Updates
Published articles are reviewed every six months. If a technology standard, platform behaviour, or market statistic changes, the article is updated — not replaced — and the review date is recorded.
Primary Sources We Use
We only cite authoritative primary sources. When we reference statistics or standards, we link directly to the original publication. Our primary references include:

- Google Search Central / Webmaster Guidelines (developers.google.com)

What We Do Not Do
- We do not publish AI-generated content without human editorial review
- We do not accept payment to write positive reviews of third-party products
- We do not fabricate scan-rate statistics or invent case studies
- We do not suppress factual criticism of our own tools
- We do not republish or paraphrase copyrighted content without citation
